Digital audio production changes the sense of time. That is one of the main points of this episode. Krukowski talks mainly in terms of music, but this also applies to podcasts. For instance, a podcaster can take things that happened far apart, or even in a different order, and present them however they want. (Since I am writing this after the podcast project, I will reflect on it some.) In my podcast, for example, the audio recorded from my friends was recorded over the space of two hours, but was presented quickly and not in the original order. The sounds from the store at the end of the podcast were taken days after I recorded the audio. Now, reflecting on Krukowski's podcast, I see how powerful this can be, and how radically different it is from previous modes of production. Manipulating time in this way can give podcasters or musicians an entirely new voice.
